
Bridgewater, MA (July 29, 2024) – A worker with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation has died as a result of a fatal accident that occurred on Saturday evening in Bridgewater. Authorities were called to the scene of the accident at around 930 p.m. on July 27.
Official reports indicate that 57-year-old David Sousa was outside of his vehicle on Route 24 near Exit 28 on the northbound side of the roadway. At the same time, a car was traveling down the roadway. For unknown reasons, the vehicle struck Sousa, causing fatal injuries. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene of the crash. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
