Plymouth, MA – Three Injured in Oil Incident on Commerce Way

Plymouth, MA (August 5, 2024) – Three individuals, including an infant, were transported to a hospital following an incident at the Market Basket in Plymouth, Massachusetts. According to fire officials, hot cooking oil unexpectedly ejected from a deep fryer, leading to the injuries.

Among those requiring medical attention were a 79-year-old patron, a 31-year-old staff member, and an 11-month-old baby. The victims were transported to area hospitals for emergency care. Their current conditions have not been disclosed.
