Weymouth, MA - Harjit Thakral Fatally Struck on Washington St

Weymouth, MA (November 22, 2024) - A woman has lost her life as a result of the fatal accident that took place in the Weymouth area on Wednesday afternoon, November 20. The Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that the collision took place at around one p.m.

Official reports show that 78-year-old Harjit Thakral was walking in the 300 block of Washington Street during the afternoon hours. For unknown reasons, she was struck by an SUV. Thakral was severely injured in the accident. She was rushed by ambulance to South Shore Hospital, where she died after arriving. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
